Forum to help with end of life challenges

Talking to patients and families about death and dying can be challenging for many health care professionals. A free public forum, hosted by the Centre for Palliative Care, is aiming to make those conversations easier.

The forum, Death Happens! So let’s talk about how we die, will provide a safe environment for people to air their concerns, and learn about options for end-of-life care and how to talk about these topics with others, whether they be their own loved ones or patients and their families.

It will also tackle misconceptions about death and detail the role palliative care can play in ensuring a better quality of life, fewer symptoms and less distress for those with life-threatening conditions.

Registrations are required for the free forum, which will be held at Deakin Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne, on Tuesday, February 23. Book your place via
